About Temple Jewellery
Rooted in Tradition, Handcrafted with Purpose
Inspired by centuries-old Dravidian traditions, temple jewellery was originally made to adorn Hindu deities in temples of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Over time, it became a bridal favourite, known for its sacredness and regal beauty. Key elements include motifs of gods and goddesses like Lakshmi, Ganesha, and Krishna, with intricate carvings, bells (ghungroos), and floral details in heavy gold finishes – antique or matte.
Our designs include grand chokers, long haarams, vankis (armbands), and maang tikka sets. Crafted using copper or brass base with gold plating or antique finish, each piece is made using age-old techniques of hand-embossing and stone-setting. We collaborate with artisan families across South India to create durable, comfortable jewellery suited for traditional weddings, classical dance, and festive occasions.
